Stress Series

Stress Management Series

This series consists of 6 seminars and 3 workshops for employees.  The series can be completed in 9 weeks u to one year.  The goals of this series are:

  • To teach employees about the different types of stress the may experience
  • To help employees to find the proper work-life balance
  • To show employees how to effectively manage stress in their lives

 

Why We Get Stressed – Before we can learn to manage stress, we must understand what stress is.  This seminar discusses three different types of stress (Physical, Mental, Emotional) and what effects they have on the body.

 

Achieving the Right Life-Work Balance – One of the most difficult concepts in stress management is creating a positive life-work balance.  This seminar will help teach employees how to juggle their everyday life and work responsibilities. 

Improving Organizational Skills – Organization can reduce stress tremendously in one’s life.  This seminar will show employees some simple ways to organize their workspace and schedules to free up space and time.

Exercise and Stress – A popular way to reduce stress is through exercise.  Employees will learn why exercise is such a good stress reducer and what types of exercise maximize stress relief.   

Meditation at Work (Workshop) – Take a deep breath!  Time to calm your body through breathing and mediation.  In this workshop, employees will be lead through some simple meditation techniques they will be able to implement on a daily basis.

Back In Action – Avoiding Physical Breakdowns – Physical stress leads to breakdowns in the body that can hinder an employee’s activities at work and at home.  This seminar shows employees how to avoid physical ailments such as back and neck problems, arthritis, and headaches.

Stretching for Stress relief (Workshop) – Stretching and breathing techniques are frequently used to relax one’s body and relieve stress.  This workshop will lead employees through a series of breathing and stretching activities that can be done at your desk!   

When Stress Becomes an Issue – Stress can be good or bad depending on the type and amount of stress you are experiencing.  This seminar will teach employees the difference between good and bad stress, and when to seek help for stress related issues.

Stress Free Day (Workshop) – The series ends with a stress free day for employees.  This workshop lets employees participate in activities for physical and mental stress.  Employees will be able to participate in spinal stress screenings, trigger point massage, and stress relieving stretches.
