When should I offer screenings to employees?
Anytime is the right time to offer health and wellness programs to employees. Screenings can be offered year round and are frequently offered on a bi-annual basis by many corporations.
What are the rates for the screenings?
Rates will vary depending on which screenings you would like and what market you are located in. Alanola Health Services takes advantage of local contractors where available to offer the lowest possible rates. Contact us to get rates for your area.
Is there a minimum number of employees who must participate?
Yes. In order to cover the cost of the nurses and equipement that we send to an event, we must have a certain number of employees participate in each screening that you request. The number varies depending on the screening. Simply contact us for the minimum requirements in your area.
Can employees pay for the screenings at the time of the event?
In most cases, yes. We are usually able to accept payment from employees while onsite. Payments are normally required to be made via cash or check and must be paid at the time that services are rendered.
Will insurance cover the screenings?
Some providers will offer reimbursement for certain screenings offered onsite. You should check with your insurance provider to see which screenings and assessments employees can be reimbursed for. Alanola Health Services and/or its contractors can supply any information necessary for employees to file for reimbursement.
Why offer screenings onsite when insurance covers the cost for employees who see their primary care physician?
Most times the cost of a screening is similar to the cost of a co-pay at the doctors office. The convenience of having the screenings in the workplace drastically increases the number of employees who will have various screenings done. Employees will invest little or no more money than if they went to the doctor, yet not need to take the time out of their workday to schedule and attend the appointment.
